There are many obvious reasons-amazing national parks, almost untouched landscapes, interesting cities on the East Coast-but, Above all, it will be the great year for Canada because it celebrates its 150th anniversary as a confederation and will do so with an extensive programme of concentrated commemorative events, especially around 1 July, Canada’s national day.

Canadá vancouver Downtown

Downtown is the heart of Vancouver, an urban grid of glazed buildings with a futuristic aesthetic that contrasts with the other residential neighborhoods. The two icons of this district are the Canada Place, an original building in the shape of sails in the port, and the Vancouver Lookout, a 169-meter lookout tower that allows you to enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view. In addition, it confirms that Vancouver is nestled in the middle of an extraordinary nature, between the Pacific and the Rockies. The main streets are Granville Street, which runs north-south, and Robson Street, which runs east-west. The latter is the commercial hub where the main international brands are concentrated.

On your way to Gasstown, the oldest neighborhood in the city, stop at the public library on Horner Street with its curious structure that mimics the Colosseum of Rome. Gasstown is a quiet neighborhood of cobbled streets and brick Victorian houses that transports travelers back to the 19th century. Its main attraction is a steam clock that whistles every 15 minutes
